SALES REPRESENTATIVE – HOME DECOR AND RELATED PRODUCTS, CAPE TOWN
VALID DRIVER’s LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL AS IS AT LEAST FIVE YEARS OF RELEVANT COLD CALLING SALES
This long-established and successful national company manufactures various wood product ranges, and is looking for an experienced sales representative who will call on interior decorators, retail stores and other sources of sales of various décor products.
Your sales experience will include being able to build long-term relationships with clients across the greater Cape Town region, the Helderberg, as well as the Garden Route and Eastern Cape on a regular calling pattern, so an ability to travel away from Cape Town without hindrance on a regular basis is essential.
You will be confident, self-motivated to succeed, and meet monthly targets to enable you to generate commission and bonuses.
You will be organised and able to plan routes so as to be effective, be focussed to expand on existing and new business sales, and to service clients on a regular basis.
You will preferably be fully bilingual, and have at least five years of sound sales repping experience with decor experience included. This is NOT a position for someone in Retail – we will only consider people who have been on the road, cold calling, prospecting for new opportunities and generating new business in an external capacity.
A proven record of generating new business is a distinct advantage, as will be the style of related products that you will have sold. This is not a role, for example, for a financial advisor, as we would prefer the successful candidate to relate well to the style of products.
