Retail Administrative Assistant

Intermediate level position requiring around 4 years of experience PLUS DRIVER'S Licence
Claremont, Cape Town

 

ONLY CANDIDATES  IN  THE SOUTHERN SUBURBS  OF CAPE TOWN  WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE DUE TO THE EMPHASIS ON THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF THIS SMALL, SUCCESSFUL AND WELL-ESTABLISHED RETAIL SERVICE PROVIDER

 

This position requires the successful candidate to assist with diverse sales administration relating to orders from the major chain stores, in support of a variety of imported retail products, and often under pressure of firm deadlines.   You must be a strong team player, who is efficient, service driven and be able to work under pressure.    If you have some import experience with the process of tracking and following up orders, shipping and deliveries, this will be an advantage.  

SKILLS REQUIRED:

·       Excellent data capturing and typing skills on Word,  and strong  skills on Excel are essential.

·       Ideally, you will have a strong flair for figures, be exceptionally accurate and thorough, be highly organised and logical, and have excellent telephone communication

       skills in English as this role deals with overseas suppliers as well.   

·       Driver’s licence essential and own transport is preferable as regular visits to the warehouse will be  required.

·       Ideally you will have the ability to be flexible and able to assist the team with all aspects they allocate to you.

·       Ideally you will have a Business Diploma or Secretarial Diploma and at least three to four years of strong administrative experience.
